Alvin B. Chapin Memorial Hall is part of historical Post 512 Carmel and is available for rentals.
Hall is regularly used for special events and civic functions.

Hall rental plans are flexile. When built in 1921 the hall was intended be become Carmel's community center and we try to continue that sense of community use to this day.  When considering the rental of our hall here are a few guidelines:
    
    Hall rates vary according to nature of use; Veterans, active military, non-profits and members rates are generally $75/hr. 
    with a 2 hour minimum useage fee.  General useage rate is $100/hr. with the same 2 hour minimum charge.  A security 
    deposit equal to the minimum useage charge is required upon booking hall use.
    
    Groups wishing to rent the hall have 1 hour grace time prior to and after event for set-up and take-down. Large events 
    will be allowed up-set and take-down time in accordance with their needs.

    Liabilty insurance coverage is the responsiblity of those holding the event!  Our liabliy ONLY covers our members and our 
    useage and does not extend to the event.

    Live music is allowed but groups can not be larger than 5 musicians.  All music MUST be completed by 10:30 p.m. (NO 
    exceptions).

    Arrangements to have use of the Lounge can be part of the rental agreement.  The Lounge is a "Members ONLY" area 
   and  members have full privilege to use their Lounge during rentals during normal Lounge hours.

    Serving of 'adult beverages' is permitted under our ABC Catering License.  All 'adult beverages' must be under the control 
    of the Lounge personnel.


Our goal is to make your event the best that it can be so come and talk with us!  Let us put together a plan that you will be comfortable with and that will help us continue to use the hall as it was originally intended!

                                            Room capacity is 124 seated
 

1.  The number of chairs -58 

2.  15 - tables - 30 inches X 6 feet 

3.  15 - Card tables 33 inches X 33 inches 

4.  A pool table in the back of the hall, which can be used for serving.   
          5 Foot X 9 feet / Height 34 inches 

Kitchen available for warming and light cooking
